Privacy Policy
WorkofMe is a place to claim a handle and publish a profile at workofme.com. This policy explains what we store and who can see it. Questions go to pawanpandey9761@gmail.com.
Information you give us
When you create and edit a profile, we store what you enter:
- Your handle, name, headlines, bio, photo, website, and resume.
- Location and email, and whether you chose to show them on the public page.
- Links, projects, experience, skills, certifications, and the buttons on your profile.
- Search title, search description, and whether the public page may be indexed.
Sign-in and connected accounts
You sign in with Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn. We receive the name, email, and photo that provider shares with us, and we keep a session cookie so you stay signed in.
If you connect YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok, we store the access needed to read that account and show recent posts on your profile. You can disconnect an account from the dashboard.
People who visit a profile
On a published profile we count visits, link clicks, button clicks, resume downloads, and reshares. Each browser gets a random id in a first-party cookie named wom_visitor. The same browser is counted once per action per day. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising. The profile owner sees the totals in their dashboard.
Cookies and storage on your device
- Session cookies that keep you signed in.
- The visitor cookie described above.
- A theme cookie and local storage entry if you choose light or dark mode.
- A short-lived cookie while you claim a handle and finish sign-in.
- A local flag so a repeat click on the same day is not counted again.
How we use it
We use this information to run WorkofMe: show your page, keep your account, count profile activity, and send the drafts you ask for. We do not sell personal information.
AI drafts and resume reading
If you ask WorkofMe to draft a bio or summary, or to read a resume, the text you submit is sent to an AI service to produce that draft. Review the result before you publish it. AI use on an account is limited.
What other people can see
A published profile is public. Fields you leave visible, including a public email or location, can be read by anyone with the link. If search indexing is on, search engines may list the page. Draft profiles stay private to your account.
Who else handles the data
We use other services to operate WorkofMe:
- Supabase, for the account, database, and stored photos and resumes.
- Google, GitHub, and LinkedIn, when you sign in with them.
- YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, when you connect those accounts.
- An AI provider, only when you use drafting or resume reading.
We share information if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse of the service.
Security and retention
Files and account data are stored with access controls. No online service can promise perfect security. We keep your profile while the account exists. Deleting the account removes the login, the profile, and the files stored for that account.
Your choices
- Hide location, email, resume, or a whole section before you publish.
- Turn search indexing off in the dashboard.
- Disconnect YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok.
- Delete the account from the account menu in the dashboard.
- Email pawanpandey9761@gmail.com if you need help with your data.
Children
WorkofMe is not for children under 16. Do not create an account if you are under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change. The current version is always at workofme.com/privacy. The Terms of Service explain the rules for using WorkofMe.
